You Might Not Have Permission To Use This Network Resource

I sometimes get error messages when I am working that have to do with Network Communications.  The most recent was an Open Folder Error \\ServerName is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.  Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.  A device attached to the system is not functioning In my case I actually got this message because the computer I wanted to connect to was not the one I wanted to connect to.  Let me explain…

( Change the Advanced sharing settings )

Step 1.1 :-  Press windows and S key at same time

  • File sharing connections

Select 128 bit encryption to help protect file sharing connections (Recommended)

  • password protected sharing 

Choose one option

and click Save changes 

( Turn Off Antivirus Firewall )

Turn off Windows defender antivirus firewall in Windows 7.8 and 10

Public Network setting

  • Untick  ( Notify me when windows firewall blocks a new app )

  • Select Turn off ( Windows firewall )

and click ok 

Turn off Quick Heal Antivirus Firewall

Check the network connection between your computer and client computer

Step 5.1 :-

Press Windows and R key at same time and hi t enter in your network client computer
